(R)-(+)-[(R)-2-DicycL - Introduction
(R)-( )-[(R)-2-Dicyclohexylphosphinoferrocenyl](N, N-dimethylamino) (2-dicyclohexylphosphinophenyl) methane is a chiral organic compound often abbreviated as DPEphos. The following is a description of the nature, use, manufacture and safety information of the DPEphos:
Nature:
-Appearance: White solid
-Solubility: Soluble in some organic solvents, such as toluene, dichloromethane
-Melting point: about 120-125°C
-Optical rotation:[α]_D ^ 20=30 ° (c = 1, THF)
Use:
DPEphos is a chiral phosphine ligand, which has a wide range of applications in organic synthesis and catalysis. It is often used as a ligand in metal catalysts to catalyze asymmetric synthesis reactions, such as asymmetric hydrogenation, carbonylation, alcohol etherification, etc. DPEphos showed good catalytic performance in asymmetric reduction, asymmetric unsaturated addition and asymmetric sulfonate synthesis.
Preparation Method:
The synthesis of DPEphos can be accomplished by a two-step reaction. First, dicyclohexylphosphinophenylborane is reacted with dimethylaminoborane to form dicyclohexylphosphinophenylmethylamine hydrochloride. This intermediate is subsequently reacted with dicyclohexylphosphino ferrocene bromide in the presence of a base to give the desired product DPEphos.
Safety Information:
DPEphos is non-toxic under normal conditions. However, in handling, care should be taken to avoid inhalation, ingestion, or contact with skin, eyes, etc. Appropriate personal protective measures should be taken, such as wearing chemical goggles, gloves and protective clothing. If you eat by mistake or have discomfort, you should seek medical treatment in time.
